Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 3 tablespoons (45ml) balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon (15g) honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the Brussels sprouts: Trim the ends and halve them.
- In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, salt, pepper, balsamic vinegar, honey, garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Add Brussels sprouts to the bowl and toss until evenly coated with the mixture.
- Lay Brussels sprouts in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until tender and caramelized.
- Drizzle with extra balsamic glaze if desired and serve warm.
