Ingredients:
- 1 whole head of garlic
- 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil (extra virgin)
- ½ teaspoon of salt (adjust to taste)
- Freshly cracked black pepper (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice off the top of the garlic bulb (about ¼ inch to expose the cloves). Drizzle olive oil over the exposed cloves, ensuring even coating.
- Sprinkle with salt and optional black pepper for added flavor.
- Wrap the garlic head in aluminum foil or place in a baking dish and cover with another dish or foil.
- Place in the oven and roast for 30-40 minutes until the cloves are soft and golden brown.
- Let the garlic cool slightly, then squeeze the roasted cloves out of their skins.
- Use immediately in dishes or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
