Ingredients:
- 4 ears of fresh corn, in husks (or shucked)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened (56g) - optional
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste - optional
- Other toppings like chili powder, lime wedges, parmesan cheese, etc. - optional
Instructions:
- Soak corn in husks in cold water for at least 30 minutes (this prevents the husks from burning).
- Gently peel back husks, remove silk. Brush corn with melted butter (optional). Pull husks back up around the corn.
- Shuck the corn completely, removing husks and silk. Brush corn with melted butter (optional).
- Preheat grill to medium heat (about 350-450°F / 175-230°C).
- Place the soaked, husk-on corn directly on the grill grates. Grill, turning occasionally, for 15-20 minutes, or until kernels are tender and husks are slightly charred.
- Place the shucked corn directly on the grill grates. Grill, turning frequently, for 10-15 minutes, or until kernels are tender and lightly charred. Watch closely to prevent burning!
- Carefully remove corn from the grill with tongs. Peel back husks (if grilled husk-on). Season with salt, pepper, and any desired toppings. Serve immediately.
