Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups (192g) all-purpose flour (plus more for dusting the pan)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons Everything Bagel Seasoning (plus more for sprinkling)
  • ½ cup (1 stick or 113g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (200g) packed light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal. Lightly flour the parchment.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in 2 tablespoons of Everything Bagel Seasoning.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Whisk in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined. Stir in the milk.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle the remaining Everything Bagel Seasoning evenly over the top.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Watch carefully to avoid overbaking!
  7. Let cool completely in the pan before lifting out using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into 16 squares and serve.
