  • 1 lb (450 g) Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon (5 g) kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon (2 g) freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) balsamic vinegar (optional, for drizzle)
  • ¼ cup (25 g) grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim the stems and halve each Brussels sprout.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine Brussels sprouts with olive oil, kosher salt, and black pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
  4. Transfer the Brussels sprouts to a baking sheet, ensuring they’re spread out in a single layer.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway, until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  6. If desired, drizzle with balsamic vinegar and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.
