Ingredients:
- 2 medium sweet potatoes (about 1 lb / 450g), peeled and cut into 1/4-inch thick fries
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (15ml)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (5ml)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (2.5ml)
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder (1.25ml)
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat!) (1.25ml)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (2.5ml), or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1.25ml)
Instructions:
- Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into even fries, about 1/4-inch thick. Try to keep them uniform for even cooking.
- Place the fries in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper. Toss until the fries are evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) if your air fryer requires it. Arrange the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to work in batches to avoid overcrowding.
- Air fry for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fries are tender on the inside and crispy on the outside.
- Remove the air fryer sweet potato fries from the air fryer and serve immediately.
