Ingredients:

  • 1 cup, packed (150 grams) Frozen Peach Slices
  • ¾ cup (180 ml) Unsweetened Milk (dairy, almond, or soy)
  • ¼ cup (60 grams) Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1 Tablespoon (10 grams) Rolled Oats (quick or old-fashioned)
  • ½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1–2 teaspoons (Optional) Honey or Maple Syrup
  • 1 small pinch Pinch of Salt

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Blender: Ensure your high-powered blender jug is clean and ready to use.
  2. Add Liquid First: Pour the milk (or dairy alternative) into the blender jug. This protects the blade and facilitates smoother blending.
  3. Add Soft Ingredients: Spoon in the Greek yogurt, rolled oats, vanilla extract, optional sweetener (honey or syrup), and the pinch of salt.
  4. Add Frozen Ingredients Last: Add the frozen peach slices directly on top of the liquid mixture.
  5. Initial Blend: Secure the lid tightly. Start blending on a low speed for 10-15 seconds to break down the frozen fruit, then increase the speed to high. Blend continuously for 45–60 seconds until smooth.
  6. Check Consistency: Stop the blender. If the mixture is too thick (i.e., the blades are spinning but the fruit isn't moving), use a tamper or a rubber spatula to push the ingredients closer to the blade. Do not add more liquid yet.
  7. Final Adjustment (If Needed): If, after tamping, the smoothie is still too thick, add extra milk, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) at a time, blending briefly after each addition until the desired thickness is reached.
  8. Serve Immediately: Pour the creamy peach smoothie into a chilled glass and serve straight away. Garnish with a dusting of cinnamon or a fresh mint sprig if desired.
