Ingredients:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise (120 ml/120 g), full-fat
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (30 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (25g)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (15 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed (5 ml/2.5g)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt (1.25 ml/1.5g), or to taste
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper (0.6 ml/0.5g), or to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, Dijon mustard, celery seed, salt, and pepper.
  2. Whisk the ingredients together until smooth and well combined. Ensure the sugar is fully dissolved.
  3. Taste the dressing and adjust seasoning as needed. Add more sugar for sweetness, vinegar for tanginess, or salt and pepper to taste.
  4. For best flavor, cover the dressing and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before using. This allows the flavors to meld.
  5. Toss the dressing with your prepared coleslaw mix (shredded cabbage, carrots, etc.) just before serving.
