Ingredients:
- ½ cup (120ml) Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- ¼ cup (60ml) Red Wine Vinegar
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) Water
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) Lemon Juice
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) Dried Italian Herb Mix
- ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) Granulated Sugar
- ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) Garlic Powder
- ¼ teaspoon (1.25ml) Onion Powder
- ¼ teaspoon (1.25ml) Salt
- ¼ teaspoon (1.25ml) Black Pepper
- Pinch of Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl or jar, add all the ingredients: olive oil, red wine vinegar, water, lemon juice, Italian herbs, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Whisk vigorously until all ingredients are thoroughly combined and emulsified. The dressing should appear slightly thickened and have a consistent colour.
- Give it a taste and adjust the seasoning as needed. Add more salt, pepper, or sugar to suit your palate. If it's too tart, add a touch more sugar.
- For the best flavour, cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavours to meld.
- Before using, shake the jar or whisk the dressing again to recombine as it may separate.
