Instructions:
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together fresh lemon juice, heavy cream, Dijon mustard, sugar, salt, and pepper until well blended.
- Slowly drizzle in olive oil while continuing to whisk vigorously until sauce thickens slightly.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary, adding more salt, pepper, or lemon juice to achieve desired flavor.
- If serving warm, transfer sauce to a small saucepan and gently heat over low heat, stirring occasionally. Avoid boiling.
