Ingredients:
- 8 oz (226 g) cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup (113 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cups (480 g) powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract
- 1-2 tbsp (15-30 ml) milk (optional, for consistency)
Instructions:
- Soften cream cheese and butter at room temperature.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and butter. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add sifted powdered sugar while mixing on low speed to prevent a cloud of sugar. Increase speed and mix until fully combined and fluffy.
- Add vanilla extract and mix until incorporated.
- If too thick, add milk one tablespoon at a time until desired spreadability is reached.
- Taste the frosting and adjust sweetness or flavor as desired.
