Ingredients:

  • 1 lb long-stemmed fresh strawberries
  • 10 oz dark chocolate melting wafers (60% cacao)
  • 1 tsp refined coconut oil
  • 4 oz white chocolate baking chips
  • 0.5 tsp refined coconut oil

Instructions:

  1. Wash strawberries gently in cool water, keeping the green hulls attached to serve as handles.
  2. Pat each strawberry thoroughly with paper towels and air-dry for at least 60 minutes until 100% dry to ensure chocolate adhesion.
  3. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  4. In a narrow, microwave-safe glass bowl, melt dark chocolate wafers and 1 teaspoon coconut oil in 30-second intervals until smooth.
  5. Dip each dry strawberry into the dark chocolate, allow excess to drip off, and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Melt white chocolate and 0.5 teaspoon coconut oil. Transfer to a small piping bag or Ziploc bag with the corner snipped.
  7. Drizzle the white chocolate in a lattice pattern over the set dark chocolate strawberries.
  8. Allow berries to set at a cool room temperature for at least 30 minutes until the shells are firm and snappy.
