Ingredients:
- 3 generous scoops (150g / 5.3 oz) high-quality vanilla ice cream, slightly softened
- 1/2 cup (120 ml / 4 fl oz) whole milk, chilled
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 vanilla bean, scraped (optional)
Instructions:
- Soften the ice cream slightly. Chill the milk. Scrape the vanilla bean (if using).
- Add softened ice cream, chilled milk, vanilla extract, and scraped vanilla bean (if using) to the blender.
- Blend on low speed initially to combine ingredients, then increase to medium-high speed until the milkshake is smooth and creamy. Watch carefully to avoid over-blending.
- If the milkshake is too thick, add a tablespoon of milk at a time and blend until desired consistency is achieved. If it's too thin, add a small scoop of ice cream and blend again.
- Pour the milkshake into a tall glass. Top with whipped cream, sprinkles, and a maraschino cherry (if desired). Serve immediately and enjoy!
