Ingredients:

  • 3 generous scoops (150g / 5.3 oz) high-quality vanilla ice cream, slightly softened
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml / 4 fl oz) whole milk, chilled
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 vanilla bean, scraped (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Soften the ice cream slightly. Chill the milk. Scrape the vanilla bean (if using).
  2. Add softened ice cream, chilled milk, vanilla extract, and scraped vanilla bean (if using) to the blender.
  3. Blend on low speed initially to combine ingredients, then increase to medium-high speed until the milkshake is smooth and creamy. Watch carefully to avoid over-blending.
  4. If the milkshake is too thick, add a tablespoon of milk at a time and blend until desired consistency is achieved. If it's too thin, add a small scoop of ice cream and blend again.
  5. Pour the milkshake into a tall glass. Top with whipped cream, sprinkles, and a maraschino cherry (if desired). Serve immediately and enjoy!
