Ingredients:
- Large Russet Potatoes (8-12 oz / 225-340g)
- Olive Oil or Vegetable Oil (1-2 tablespoons)
- Coarse Sea Salt (1-2 teaspoons)
- Freshly Ground Black Pepper (To taste)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly. Dry them well.
- Pierce each potato several times with a fork.
- Rub the potatoes with olive oil or vegetable oil. Sprinkle generously with coarse sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet. Bake for 45-75 minutes, or until the potatoes are easily pierced with a fork and the skin is crispy.
- A properly baked potato will feel soft when squeezed gently. The internal temperature should reach around 210°F (99°C).
- Carefully remove from the oven and serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
