Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) or 113g Unsalted Butter, cold, cut into cubes
- 1 cup (240ml) Heavy Cream
- 1 1/2 cups (approx. 150g) Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- Pinch of Salt (taste and adjust)
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon Freshly Grated Nutmeg
Instructions:
- In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter. Don't let it brown!
- Pour in the heavy cream and gently bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low.
- Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, whisking constantly until melted and smooth.
- Season with black pepper and salt to taste. Stir in nutmeg (if using).
- Toss with your favorite pasta and serve immediately!
