Ingredients:
- 2 oz (60 ml) Gin (London Dry recommended)
- 0.75 oz (22 ml) Fresh Lemon Juice
- 0.5 oz (15 ml) Simple Syrup (equal parts sugar and water, heated and cooled)
- 5 oz (150 ml) Champagne (or other dry sparkling wine, such as Prosecco or Cava)
- Lemon twist, for garnish
Instructions:
- Chill your champagne flute or coupe glass (place in the freezer for a few minutes or fill with ice water then discard).
- In a cocktail shaker, combine gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup.
- Add ice to the shaker. Close tightly and shake well until chilled (about 15-20 seconds).
- Strain the mixture into the chilled glass.
- Top with champagne.
- Garnish with a lemon twist. Express the oils from the lemon twist over the drink before dropping it into the glass.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
