Ingredients:

  • cup Mayonnaise (Full-fat recommended)
  • tablespoons Ketchup
  • teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • teaspoon Fresh Lemon Juice
  • teaspoon HP Sauce or A1 Steak Sauce
  • ½ teaspoon Granulated Sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Onion Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Coarse Ground Black Pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt (or to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Place the full cup of mayonnaise into the mixing bowl.
  2. Add the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, fresh lemon juice, and steak sauce (or HP Sauce) to the mayonnaise.
  3. Sprinkle in the granulated sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt over the wet ingredients.
  4. Using the whisk or spatula, vigorously mix all ingredients together until the sauce is uniformly smooth, creamy, and a consistent pale pink colour. Ensure no clumps of powder remain.
  5. Perform a quality check. Adjust salt or sugar if necessary by adding a small pinch at a time.
  6. Cover the bowl tightly (or transfer to an airtight container) and refrigerate for a minimum of 1 hour to allow the spices to meld.
  7. Give the chilled sauce a final stir before serving alongside your favourite fried items.
