Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240ml) water or unsweetened almond milk
- 1 cup (30g) packed kale, stems removed, roughly chopped
- 1/2 medium frozen banana (about 50g)
- 1/2 cup (75g) frozen mango chunks
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) grated fresh ginger (optional)
- 1 tablespoon (15g) chia seeds or flaxseed meal
Instructions:
- Pour the water or almond milk into the blender jar.
- Add the chopped kale on top of the liquid.
- Add the frozen banana and mango to the blender.
- Add the lemon juice, ginger (if using), and chia seeds or flaxseed meal.
- Secure the lid on the blender and blend on high speed until completely smooth.
- If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more liquid. If it's too thin, add a few more frozen mango chunks.
- Pour the smoothie into a glass and drink immediately.
