Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (300g) apricot preserves
  • 2 tbsp (25g) packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp (15g) Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp (5ml) soy sauce
  • ½ tsp (1g) garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp (1.5g) salt

Instructions:

  1. Combine the apricot preserves, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic powder in a small saucepan.
  2. Whisk over medium heat until the preserves have fully melted and the sugar crystals have dissolved into a smooth liquid.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer gently, stirring frequently for 5–8 minutes until the glaze thickens slightly and coats the back of a spoon.
  4. Remove the pan from the heat and whisk vigorously for 30 seconds to create a high-shine, mirrored surface.
  5. Let the glaze cool for 2 minutes before applying to your protein.
