Ingredients:
- 2 cups balsamic vinegar (480 ml)
- 1/4 cup honey (85 g) (optional for added sweetness)
- Pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions:
- Pour the balsamic vinegar into the medium saucepan.
- Stir in honey for added sweetness and flavor.
- Heat over medium heat until it begins to bubble. Reduce heat to low and let the mixture simmer.
- Stir occasionally and let it reduce for about 15-20 minutes or until the liquid is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.
- Remove from heat when it reaches desired thickness. Remember it will thicken further as it cools.
- Stir in a pinch of salt to balance the flavors, if desired.
- Let cool completely, then pour into a storage container.
