Ingredients:
- 1 cup cornmeal (yellow or white)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder

- 1 cup milk (whole or buttermilk)

- 2 large eggs
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, and eggs until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.

- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Cool slightly, slice, and serve warm with butter.
