Ingredients:

  • 1 lb bok choy, cleaned and halved lengthwise
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Rinse bok choy thoroughly under cold water to remove any grit.
  2. Slice bok choy in half lengthwise and cut off any tough ends if needed.
  3. In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Add minced garlic to the hot oil. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the halved bok choy to the skillet with cut side down.
  6. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the leaves are bright green and the stalks are tender-crisp.
  7. Drizzle soy sauce and sesame oil over the bok choy and toss to coat evenly.
  8. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  9. Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy hot.
