Ingredients:
- 4 cups all-purpose flour (500g)
- 1.5 cups warm water (370ml)
- 2 teaspoons instant yeast (7g)
- 2 teaspoons salt (10g)
- 2 tablespoons sugar (25g)
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil (60ml)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil for drizzling (45ml)
- 1 tablespoon flaky sea salt (13g)
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped (optional)
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Allow it to sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- Stir in flour and salt, and mix until a rough dough forms.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a towel or plastic wrap, and let it rest for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Transfer the dough to a prepared baking sheet. Gently stretch and press it into the pan.
- Cover again for 20 minutes, allowing the dough to rise slightly.
- Use your fingers to create dimples all over the surface, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with sea salt and rosemary.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing and enjoying!
