Ingredients:

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour (500g)
  • 1.5 cups warm water (370ml)
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast (7g)
  • 2 teaspoons salt (10g)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (25g)
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil (60ml)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil for drizzling (45ml)
  • 1 tablespoon flaky sea salt (13g)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Allow it to sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Stir in flour and salt, and mix until a rough dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a towel or plastic wrap, and let it rest for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Transfer the dough to a prepared baking sheet. Gently stretch and press it into the pan.
  6. Cover again for 20 minutes, allowing the dough to rise slightly.
  7. Use your fingers to create dimples all over the surface, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with sea salt and rosemary.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and enjoying!
