Ingredients:
- 2 cups brewed coffee (strong or espresso preferred)
- ¼ cup milk (whole, skim, or plant-based)
- 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
- 1 tablespoon sugar (to taste)
- ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- Pinch of salt
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Extra sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon (optional)
Instructions:
- Brew coffee or espresso and set aside.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine milk, pumpkin puree, sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and salt. Whisk continuously until well incorporated and heated, but not boiling.
- Remove from heat and use a frother or whisk to froth the milk mixture.
- Pour the brewed coffee equally into two mugs.
- Add the frothy pumpkin milk mixture to each mug.
- Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice, if desired.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
