Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (190g) quinoa, rinsed thoroughly
  • 2 cups (475 ml) water or broth
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions:

  1. Place the quinoa in a fine-mesh sieve and rinse under cold running water for 1-2 minutes, until the water runs clear.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the rinsed quinoa, water (or broth), and salt.
  3. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan tightly, and simmer for 15 minutes. Do not lift the lid during simmering!
  5. Remove the saucepan from the heat (still covered!) and let it stand for 5 minutes.
  6. After resting, gently fluff the quinoa with a fork.
