Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (200g) long-grain white rice, jasmine rice, or basmati rice, rinsed well
  • 1 1/4 cups (300ml) water
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3g) salt (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Place the rice in a fine-mesh sieve and rinse under cold running water until the water runs clear.
  2. Add the rinsed rice, water, and salt (if using) to the Instant Pot inner pot.
  3. Secure the Instant Pot lid, ensuring the steam release valve is in the sealing position. Press the Rice button.
  4. Once the cooking cycle is complete, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes.
  5. After 10 minutes of NPR, carefully release any remaining pressure manually by moving the steam release valve to the venting position.
  6. Once all the pressure is released and the pin has dropped, carefully open the lid. Fluff the rice gently with a fork and serve immediately.
