Ingredients:

  • 1 large head of broccoli (about 1 ½ lbs / 680g), cut into florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (30ml)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (2.5ml)
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder (2.5ml)
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, 1.25ml)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and cut broccoli into bite-sized florets.
  3. In a large bowl, toss broccoli florets with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Ensure florets are evenly coated.
  4. Spread broccoli in a single layer on the baking sheet. Avoid overcrowding for best results.
  5. Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until broccoli is tender-crisp and lightly charred on the edges. Flip halfway through cooking.
  6. Serve hot, right out of the oven. This is a great addition to your collection of vegetable side dishes.
