Ingredients:
- 4 medium russet potatoes (approx. 8-10 oz / 225-285g each), scrubbed clean
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30ml)
- 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt (5g)
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (2.5g)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Scrub potatoes thoroughly and dry with a clean kitchen towel.
- Pierce each potato several times with a fork. This allows steam to escape and prevents explosions.
- Rub each potato generously with olive oil, ensuring it's evenly coated. Sprinkle generously with sea salt and black pepper.
- Place the potatoes directly on the baking sheet. Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until the potatoes are easily pierced with a fork and the skin is crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving with your favorite toppings.
