Ingredients:

  • ½ cup (45g) rolled oats (not instant)
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) chia seeds (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon (15g) peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
  • 1 tablespoon (15g) jelly or jam (strawberry, grape, raspberry)
  • ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In your jar, combine the rolled oats, milk, and chia seeds (if using).
  2. Dollop the peanut butter and jelly on top of the oat mixture. Do not stir yet.
  3. Add the vanilla extract, if using.
  4. Secure the lid tightly and refrigerate overnight (at least 6-8 hours).
  5. In the morning, give the mixture a good stir to combine all the ingredients. If the oats are too thick, add a splash of milk.
  6. Top with your favourite toppings, such as chopped peanuts and fresh berries, before serving. Enjoy your peanut butter and jelly overnight oats.
