Ingredients:

  • 12 Oreo cookies (or any chocolate sandwich cookie)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) creamy peanut butter or chocolate frosting
  • 12 candy eyes (found in baking aisle)
  • 24 pretzel sticks (for legs)
  • Additional crushed Oreo cookies (optional, for decorating)

Instructions:

  1. Separate each Oreo cookie into halves, keeping the cream filling on one side.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter or chocolate frosting with any additional crushed Oreo if desired. Mix until smooth.
  3. On a baking sheet, place the Oreo halves with filling facing up. Use a spoon to add a dollop of the peanut butter or frosting in the center.
  4. Insert four pretzel sticks on each side of the cookie for spider legs.
  5. Gently press two candy eyes on top of the frosting.
  6. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to help the treats set.
  7. Once firm, serve these creepy crawlers on a festive platter.
