Ingredients:
- 4 medium ripe tomatoes, diced
- 1 small red onion, finely chopped
- 2 jalapeño peppers, seeds removed and finely diced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 limes, juiced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
- Wash and dice the tomatoes.
- Finely chop the red onion.
- Remove seeds and finely dice the jalapeño peppers (wear gloves if desired).
- Chop the cilantro.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped onion, and jalapeños.
- Add chopped cilantro.
- Squeeze the juice of the limes into the bowl.
- Sprinkle in the salt, cumin, and black pepper.
- Stir gently until well combined.
- Taste the salsa and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Transfer the salsa to a serving dish and serve immediately or let it chill in the refrigerator for enhanced flavors.
