Ingredients:
- 4 cups (500g) all-purpose flour, plus extra for dusting
- 1 ½ teaspoons (7g) instant yeast
- 1 ½ teaspoons (9g) salt
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil
- 1¾ cups (420ml) warm water
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, instant yeast, and salt.
- Create a well in the center of the flour mixture, add warm water, and olive oil.
- Using a wooden spoon or spatula, mix until a shaggy dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel or cling film, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into two equal portions. Shape each into a ball.
- Cover the dough balls with a towel and let them rest for 15-20 minutes.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface or shape it by hand into a pizza base.
- Add your favorite sauces and toppings, then bake in a preheated oven at 475°F (245°C) for 10-15 minutes until golden.
