Ingredients:
- 1 large ripe mango, peeled and chopped (approx. 2 cups) (300g)
- 4 oz (120ml) Silver Tequila (blanco)
- 2 oz (60ml) Cointreau (or other orange liqueur)
- 2 oz (60ml) Freshly squeezed lime juice (from about 2-3 limes)
- 1 oz (30ml) Simple Syrup (equal parts sugar and water, dissolved) - Optional, adjust to taste
- Ice Cubes
- Lime wedges (optional)
- Coarse salt or sugar for rimming the glasses (optional)
- Mango slices (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Mango Puree: Blend the chopped mango until smooth. Set aside.
- Prepare the Glasses (Optional): If desired, rim the margarita glasses by running a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it in salt or sugar.
- Combine Ingredients: In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the mango puree, tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, and simple syrup (if using).
- Shake Well: Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, until well chilled.
- Strain and Serve: Strain the margarita mixture into the prepared glasses filled with ice.
- Garnish: Garnish with a lime wedge and/or a slice of mango.
