Ingredients:

  • 1 large ripe mango, peeled and chopped (approx. 2 cups) (300g)
  • 4 oz (120ml) Silver Tequila (blanco)
  • 2 oz (60ml) Cointreau (or other orange liqueur)
  • 2 oz (60ml) Freshly squeezed lime juice (from about 2-3 limes)
  • 1 oz (30ml) Simple Syrup (equal parts sugar and water, dissolved) - Optional, adjust to taste
  • Ice Cubes
  • Lime wedges (optional)
  • Coarse salt or sugar for rimming the glasses (optional)
  • Mango slices (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Mango Puree: Blend the chopped mango until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the Glasses (Optional): If desired, rim the margarita glasses by running a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it in salt or sugar.
  3. Combine Ingredients: In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the mango puree, tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, and simple syrup (if using).
  4. Shake Well: Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, until well chilled.
  5. Strain and Serve: Strain the margarita mixture into the prepared glasses filled with ice.
  6. Garnish: Garnish with a lime wedge and/or a slice of mango.
  7. Enjoy!
