Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves, finely chopped (about 30g)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp chili powder (15g)
- 1 tbsp ground cumin (8g)
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika (8g)
- 1 tsp dried oregano (1g)
- 1 tsp onion powder (3g)
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for heat, 1g)
- 1/2 cup olive oil (120ml)
- Juice of 1 lime (about 30ml)
- Salt to taste (about 1/2 tsp)
Instructions:
- Wash and finely chop the cilantro.
- Mince the garlic.
- In the food processor, add chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, onion powder, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- Add minced garlic, chopped cilantro, olive oil, and lime juice to the food processor.
- Pulse the mixture until you achieve a smooth consistency, scraping down the sides as necessary.
- Taste the paste and add salt to your liking. Blend to combine.
- Transfer the paste into an airtight container and refrigerate until needed.
