Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey for a lighter option)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 package Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup uncooked pasta (any shape)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, Lipton onion soup mix, and milk.
  3. Mix until well combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into meatballs (about 1 inch each) and place them on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until browned.
  6. In the baking dish, mix marinara sauce, uncooked pasta, water, and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  7. Once the meatballs are done, add them to the casserole mix and stir gently to combine.
  8. Top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  10. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  11. Let it cool slightly, then garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.
