Instructions:

  1. Place brown rice in a fine mesh sieve and rinse under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In the Instant Pot, combine rinsed rice, water or broth, optional oil, and salt.
  3. Secure the lid, ensuring the valve is set to 'sealing.' Set the Instant Pot to manual high pressure for 22 minutes.
  4. Once cooking is complete, allow for a natural release for 10 minutes, then carefully switch to quick release for any remaining pressure.
  5. Open the lid, fluff rice with a fork, and serve as desired.
