Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240ml) mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh chives
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh dill
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried onion flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Finely chop the fresh chives, parsley, and dill. Set aside.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, buttermilk, sour cream, and lemon juice until smooth.
  3. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, dried onion flakes, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using) to the bowl.
  4. Stir in the chopped fresh herbs until evenly distributed.
  5. Taste the ranch dressing and adjust seasonings as needed. Add more salt, pepper, or lemon juice to your liking.
  6. For best flavor, cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld (optional).
  7. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
