Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240ml) mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup (120ml) buttermilk
- 1/4 cup (60ml) sour cream
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh chives
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh dill
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried onion flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions:
- Finely chop the fresh chives, parsley, and dill. Set aside.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, buttermilk, sour cream, and lemon juice until smooth.
- Add the garlic powder, onion powder, dried onion flakes, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using) to the bowl.
- Stir in the chopped fresh herbs until evenly distributed.
- Taste the ranch dressing and adjust seasonings as needed. Add more salt, pepper, or lemon juice to your liking.
- For best flavor, cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld (optional).
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
