Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs Large Shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp Avocado oil
- 1/2 tsp Sea salt
- 1/4 tsp Cracked black pepper
- 1/3 cup Raw honey
- 1/4 cup Low-sodium soy sauce
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tsp Red pepper flakes
- 3 Green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp Toasted sesame seeds
- 1 Fresh lime, cut into wedges
Instructions:
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the raw honey, low-sodium soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes until the honey is fully incorporated.
- Pat the shrimp completely dry using kitchen paper towels to ensure a proper sear. Season with sea salt and cracked black pepper.
- Heat avocado oil in a large cast-iron or stainless steel skillet over medium-high heat until the oil shimmers and barely wisps smoke.
- Add shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Sear for 2 minutes on the first side until the edges turn opaque pink. Flip each shrimp and cook for another 1 minute.
- Pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet. Stir constantly as the sauce bubbles and reduces into a thick, glossy glaze that coats the shrimp (about 1-2 minutes).
- Remove from heat. Garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve immediately with fresh lime wedges.
