Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs Large Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp Avocado oil
  • 1/2 tsp Sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp Cracked black pepper
  • 1/3 cup Raw honey
  • 1/4 cup Low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp Red pepper flakes
  • 3 Green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp Toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 Fresh lime, cut into wedges

Instructions:

  1. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the raw honey, low-sodium soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes until the honey is fully incorporated.
  2. Pat the shrimp completely dry using kitchen paper towels to ensure a proper sear. Season with sea salt and cracked black pepper.
  3. Heat avocado oil in a large cast-iron or stainless steel skillet over medium-high heat until the oil shimmers and barely wisps smoke.
  4. Add shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Sear for 2 minutes on the first side until the edges turn opaque pink. Flip each shrimp and cook for another 1 minute.
  5. Pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet. Stir constantly as the sauce bubbles and reduces into a thick, glossy glaze that coats the shrimp (about 1-2 minutes).
  6. Remove from heat. Garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve immediately with fresh lime wedges.
