Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground turkey (85% lean)
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup (15g) fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp (5g) salt
  • 1/2 tsp (2g) black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp (2g) paprika
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) cumin
  • 1 tsp (5g) Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) olive oil
  • 1 cup (240g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) lemon juice
  • 1 tsp (5g) dried dill or fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, onion, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, paprika, cumin, mustard, and olive oil. Mix until just combined; do not overwork the meat.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing.
  3. Place the patties on a plate, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes for better flavor and texture.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper. Mix well and set aside.
  5. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  6. Lightly oil the grill grates. Grill the patties for 5-6 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  7. Serve the turkey burgers on whole-grain buns and top with creamy yogurt sauce.
