Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cloves (15g) garlic, finely minced
- 2 tbsp (8g) fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 tsp (3g) kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp (1g) black pepper
- 1 loaf (approx. 12 oz / 340g) French baguette or Italian bread
- 1/4 cup (25g) grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
- Combine the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mash with a fork until the garlic is evenly distributed and the butter is velvety.
- Cut the baguette into 1-inch thick slices, slicing at a slight diagonal to increase the surface area for butter and grilling.
- Spread a generous layer of the garlic compound butter on one side of each bread slice.
- Place the buttered side down over medium-high heat on the grill for 2–3 minutes until deep brown sear marks appear and the aroma is nutty.
- Flip the bread slices, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired, and grill for another 1–2 minutes until the cheese is melted and the edges are crisp.
