Ingredients:
- 1 baguette, preferably day-old (about 300g / 10.5 oz)
- 4 tablespoons olive oil (60 ml / 2 fl oz)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (about 6-8 grams)
- 1 tablespoon mixed fresh herbs, finely chopped (such as rosemary, thyme, parsley) (about 4-5 grams)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste (start with ¼ teaspoon each)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C / Gas Mark 5). Slice the baguette into ½-inch (1.25 cm) thick rounds.
- In a small bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, and chopped herbs. Season with salt and pepper.
- Brush or drizzle the garlic-herb oil mixture evenly over both sides of the baguette slices.
- Arrange the baguette slices in a single layer on the baking sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp, flipping halfway through.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving.
