Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (200g) Long-grain brown rice, rinsed thoroughly
  • 1 1/4 cups (300ml) Water
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) Salt (optional, adjust to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Place the brown rice in a fine-mesh sieve and rinse under cold running water until the water runs clear (about 1-2 minutes). This removes excess starch for fluffier rice.
  2. Add the rinsed brown rice, water, and salt (if using) to the Instant Pot.
  3. Close the lid and ensure the steam release valve is in the Sealing position. Cook on high pressure for 22 minutes.
  4. Allow the Instant Pot to naturally release pressure for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, manually release any remaining pressure.
  5. Open the lid carefully. Fluff the rice with a fork. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve immediately.
