Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (120g)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (25g)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder (14g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (2.5g)
  • 1 cup milk (240ml, any variety)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (28g)
  • Maple syrup
  • Fresh fruit (e.g., berries, bananas)
  • Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine milk, egg, and melted butter. Beat until well mixed.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined; small lumps are okay.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil.
  5. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles form on the surface (about 2-3 minutes).
  6. Flip the pancake and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Continue cooking pancakes until all the batter is used, greasing the skillet as needed.
  8. Serve hot with your choice of toppings like maple syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
