Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (120g)
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (25g)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder (14g)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (2.5g)
- 1 cup milk (240ml, any variety)
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (28g)
- Maple syrup
- Fresh fruit (e.g., berries, bananas)
- Whipped cream (optional)
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine milk, egg, and melted butter. Beat until well mixed.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined; small lumps are okay.
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil.
- Pour a ladleful of batter onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles form on the surface (about 2-3 minutes).
- Flip the pancake and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- Continue cooking pancakes until all the batter is used, greasing the skillet as needed.
- Serve hot with your choice of toppings like maple syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
