Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.
- Add softened butter and sugar; mix until crumbly.
- Incorporate the egg yolk, mixing until dough forms.
- Roll out dough and preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Fit dough into the pie dish and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together brown sugar, granulated sugar, and salt.
- Add eggs and vanilla; beat until well combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Pour the filling mixture into the chilled pie crust.
- Spread it evenly with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the center is set and the top is golden.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
