Ingredients:
- 3 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 1 tbsp packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 0.5 tsp Kosher salt
- 0.5 tsp cracked black pepper
- 1.5 cups BBQ sauce
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
Instructions:
- Pat the chicken thighs completely dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Generously coat the chicken on all sides with the rub.
- In the bottom of your slow cooker, combine BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Place the seasoned chicken into the sauce, turning once to coat. Arrange them in a single layer if possible for even cooking.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours until the meat is flaky and tender.
- Remove the chicken to a large bowl. Whisk the unsalted butter into the remaining liquid in the pot to create a glossy glaze.
- Shred the chicken using two forks. Return the meat to the pot and toss well to coat in the sauce.
