Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (454g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch thick strips
  • 1/2 cup (57g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) black pepper
  • Pinch of salt (optional, to taste)
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup (100g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup (50g) panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) olive oil spray

Instructions:

  1. Cut chicken breasts into 1-inch thick strips. Pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, pepper, and salt (if using) in a bowl.
  3. Place lightly beaten eggs in a separate bowl.
  4. Combine Parmesan cheese and panko breadcrumbs in another bowl.
  5. Dredge each chicken strip in flour mixture, then dip in egg, then coat evenly with the Parmesan-panko mixture. Press gently to adhere.
  6. Preheat your air fryer (if your model requires it). Arrange breaded chicken strips in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Spray lightly with olive oil spray.
  7. Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 6-8 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Let the chicken tenders rest for a few minutes before serving.
