Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) fresh string beans, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ teaspoon (1g) salt (adjust to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon (1g) black pepper (adjust to taste)
- ¼ cup (25g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon (15g) breadcrumbs (optional for extra crunch)
- Zest of 1 lemon
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Rinse the string beans under cold water and trim the ends.
- In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
- Add string beans to the bowl and toss until well coated with the oil mixture.
- Spread string beans evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (if using).
- In a small bowl, mix Parmesan, breadcrumbs (if using), and lemon zest. Sprinkle over the string beans.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until string beans are tender and the topping is golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let cool briefly before serving.
