Ingredients:
- 4 medium russet potatoes (about 2 pounds or 900 grams)
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) of sea salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon (2 g) of paprika (optional for extra flavor)
- Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
Instructions:
- Wash and peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin, even sticks (around 1/4 inch thick).
- Place the cut fries in a large bowl and cover with cold water. Let them soak for at least 30 minutes to remove extra starch (optional but recommended).
- Drain the fries and pat them dry thoroughly with paper towels.
- In a bowl, toss the dried fries with olive oil, sea salt, paprika, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Place the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 20-25 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
- Once done, remove fries from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute before serving.
