Ingredients:

  • 4 medium russet potatoes (about 2 pounds or 900 grams)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon (5 g) of sea salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2 g) of paprika (optional for extra flavor)
  • Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Wash and peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin, even sticks (around 1/4 inch thick).
  2. Place the cut fries in a large bowl and cover with cold water. Let them soak for at least 30 minutes to remove extra starch (optional but recommended).
  3. Drain the fries and pat them dry thoroughly with paper towels.
  4. In a bowl, toss the dried fries with olive oil, sea salt, paprika, and pepper until evenly coated.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  6. Place the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 20-25 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  7. Once done, remove fries from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute before serving.
