Ingredients:
- 1 can (15 oz / 425 g) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Instructions:
- Drain, rinse, and dry the chickpeas using paper towels until completely dry.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the dried chickpeas, olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, ground cumin, salt, and pepper. Toss well to coat.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Place the seasoned chickpeas in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are in a single layer.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking, until they are golden and crispy.
- After cooking, quickly toss the chickpeas with honey or maple syrup and cinnamon for a sweet twist (if desired).
- Remove from the air fryer and allow to cool slightly. Serve warm or at room temperature.
