Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- milk or water (as needed for consistency)
Instructions:
- Combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar, and Dijon mustard into a mason jar, leaving enough headspace at the top for agitation.
- Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the jar.
- Tighten the lid securely and shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds until the dressing is a uniform, pale ivory color.
- Check the consistency. If it's too thick, add milk or water one tablespoon at a time.
- Shake briefly after each addition of milk.
- Continue adjusting until the dressing reaches a smooth, velvety flow.
- Taste a small amount with a leaf of lettuce.
- Add an extra pinch of salt or a drop more vinegar if you want more zing.
- Seal the jar and give it one final 5 second shake.
